DEPOSIT AND REFUND POLICY
Effective September 1, 2026
-
Non-Refundable Deposits
All deposits paid to Vuex Travel are non-refundable once received, except where a refund is expressly required by applicable law, the Client’s specific booking terms, or a travel supplier’s written refund policy.
Deposits may be used to secure travel arrangements, reserve inventory, and pay or commit funds to third-party travel suppliers. Once a deposit has been submitted, Vuex Travel may be unable to recover those funds from the applicable supplier.
Accordingly, a client’s cancellation, change of plans, illness, COVID-19, personal emergency, weather-related concern, failure to travel, or other voluntary decision not to travel does not automatically entitle the Client to a refund of the deposit.
-
Supplier-Specific Deposit Requirements
Certain airlines, hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, wholesalers, resorts, activities, and other travel suppliers may impose their own deposit and cancellation requirements.
A supplier may require:
- A non-refundable deposit;
- Full payment at booking;
- Partial payment by a specified deadline;
- Cancellation penalties; or
- Full forfeiture of amounts paid following cancellation.
The Client is responsible for the applicable deposit and cancellation conditions associated with the specific reservation.
-
Travel Insurance
Because deposits and other travel payments may be non-refundable, Vuex Travel strongly recommends purchasing appropriate travel insurance at the time of booking or as soon as possible after the initial deposit.
Travel insurance may provide coverage for certain eligible cancellations, interruptions, illness, COVID-19, medical emergencies, or other covered circumstances.
Coverage depends entirely on the insurance policy purchased.
Vuex Travel does not guarantee that travel insurance will reimburse a non-refundable deposit or any other travel expenses.
The Client is responsible for reviewing the insurance policy, exclusions, eligibility requirements, and claim deadlines.
-
Client Cancellation
If the Client cancels a reservation after paying a deposit, the deposit remains non-refundable except where a refund is required by applicable law or the applicable booking/supplier terms.
Additional cancellation penalties may also apply depending on the reservation and the date of cancellation.
If the applicable supplier provides a refund or credit, Vuex Travel will process or communicate the applicable amount according to the supplier’s procedures and applicable law.
-
No Waiver of Legal Rights
Nothing in this policy is intended to eliminate or waive a refund or other rights that cannot legally be waived.
Where applicable federal or state law requires a refund, that legal requirement will control.
-
Client Acknowledgment
By completing a booking with Vuex Travel, the traveler acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed that deposits are non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law or the specific terms governing their reservation.
The traveler further acknowledges that travel insurance is strongly recommended to help protect against eligible financial losses that may otherwise be non-refundable.
